Educating future generations lies at the heart of building a greener and more sustainable future. As part of metaCCAZE, Dr. Maria Kamargianni, Professor of Transport Innovation and Sustainability and Director of MaaSLab, together with her team, has launched a series of school visits across our Trailblazer City Limassol to inspire young people to rethink the way they move.
During these interactive sessions, students learned about sustainable mobility concepts and discovered an on-demand mini-bus service powered by a mobility application co-developed by the Limassol Living Lab partners: MaaSLab, EMEL LTD, Limassol Municipality, Oxygen for Democracy, and nextbike Cyprus. The service aims to reduce traffic congestion, lower private car use, and promote cleaner, smarter travel options within the city.
The initiative has been met with enthusiasm from both students and teachers. The project team extends its sincere thanks to all participating schools for their engagement and warm welcome.
Together with the youth of Limassol, the project partners are paving the way for a smarter, cleaner, and more sustainable urban mobility future.
