The 54th European Transport Conference provides a welcoming and inclusive space for sharing, learning, inspiring and network building, crossing all stages of transport planning from analyses to delivery and all transport modes. It attracts transport policy makers, practitioners and researchers from all over Europe and beyond, and encourages participation from professionals of all levels of experience.
Dr. ir. Gonçalo Homem de Almeida Rodriguez Correia will be a keynote speaker for the European Transport Conference – ETC 2026.
Dr. Correia is Associate Professor of Multimodal Urban Transport at Delft University of Technology, where he leads the Transport, Mobility and Logistics section and co-directs the hEAT Lab on electric and automated transport. His research explores how cities can bring together public transport, shared mobility, active modes and emerging vehicle technologies into efficient, low-carbon and well-integrated land-use and mobility systems.
He is closely involved in major European research and innovation projects, including metaCCAZE Project, Shift2Sustain, NEXTLOGIC Project and SCUDO Project, combining advanced modelling and behavioural analysis with real-world pilots, governance innovation and policy support. He is also Editor-in-Chief of Nature Portfolio Sustainable Mobility and Transport and a trusted adviser to public authorities and industry across Europe.
In metaCCAZE, he strongly supports the Amsterdam Living Lab, and especially the Urban Mobility Incentive Exchange (UMIX). The system gives employees tradeable travel credits, tracked via an app with rewards for underuse, costs for overspending, and visualised insights to guide improvements.
Additionally, WeeDRIVE will represent metaCCAZE as an exhibitor during the European Transport Conference 2026.
