Our Trailblazer City Munich is stepping forward with its Bike Logistics Hub by opening a new showroom dedicated to commercial cargo bike solutions. Located within the Bike Logistics Hub at the Paketposthalle, the showroom further strengthens the city’s efforts to promote sustainable urban logistics and support businesses in reducing transport-related emissions.
B2B Lastenrad Zentrum München, the new operator of the showroom, offers companies the opportunity to explore a wide range of cargo bikes and trailers designed for professional use. Businesses can receive tailored advice, compare different models, and test vehicles both on-site and within their own operations to identify the most suitable solution for their transport needs.
During the opening event, Konrad Martin, founder of the new operator B2B Lastenrad Zentrum München, presented the centre’s innovative concept, highlighting how it serves as a one-stop shop for organisations looking to transition from conventional delivery vehicles to more sustainable alternatives. Visitors also learned about projects from the German Cargo Bike Association, including a simulation-based tool that helps companies assess the economic viability of integrating cargo bikes into their operations.
Following the presentations, manufacturers showcased a diverse portfolio of vehicles, ranging from agile single-track cargo bikes with trailers to four-wheeled models capable of replacing conventional delivery vans. All vehicles are now available for testing through the centre.
Opened approximately one year ago by Munich’s Mobility Department as part of metaCCAZE, the Bike Logistics Hub is Germany’s largest hub of its kind. With the addition of the new showroom, Munich is further supporting businesses, public authorities, tradespeople and service providers in adopting cleaner, more efficient urban freight solutions and accelerating the transition towards zero-emission mobility.
