On 10 June, the metaCCAZE project hosted its first Net Zero Pioneers Advisory Board (NETAB), a panel of leading scientific, industry, and government experts supporting the project’s mission: accelerating smart, zero-emission mobility in European cities.
During the kickoff, TU Delft introduced the NETAB to the project’s bold vision: transforming mobility for both people and goods using electric, automated, and connected solutions. The board will offer ongoing feedback and insight throughout the project.
What makes NETAB unique
Members are respected leaders in research, industry, and policy, who are not directly involved in the project, bringing independent and strategic perspectives. They’ll help identify blind spots, share lessons from other projects, and strengthen ties with cities across Europe.
Co-creation at the core
BABLE and FACTUAL set the stage with an overview of metaCCAZE’s co-creation approach. From the beginning in 2024, residents and local stakeholders in Amsterdam, Munich, Limassol, and Tampere have contributed to shaping real-world use cases for zero-emission transport. These four cities are now testing solutions, with six follower cities preparing to do the same.
What’s next for the NETAB
Board members already offered key feedback, like how to engage hard-to-reach communities. Their next task: provide targeted input on the specific mobility solutions now being tested.
Advisory board members are experts working for the following organisations:
University of Edinburgh, Chalmers University of Technology, TU Dresden, European Commission Joint Research Centre, IST, General Motors, Toyota Mobility Foundation, ZF Group, CCAM Partnership, NetZeroCities, 2ZERO Partnership, and city governments from Amsterdam, Athens, Milan, Munich, Tampere, Krakow, Limassol, Gozo, and Miskol
