The EUCAD 2025 Conference in Ispra provided a vibrant platform for innovation in connected, cooperative, and automated mobility (CCAM), and metaCCAZE was front and center in shaping the conversation. Teaming up with its sister initiative, the MOBILITIES FOR EU project, metaCCAZE welcomed stakeholders, fellow researchers, and policymakers at a shared stand, highlighting collaborative efforts to drive climate-neutral and intelligent urban transport across Europe.
Throughout the event, metaCCAZE actively engaged with conference participants, sharing lessons learned and strategic insights gained through real-world deployments and cross-city collaborations. The stand served as a hub of discussion and knowledge exchange, illustrating how integrated projects are laying the groundwork for the future of European mobility.
A key highlight came on Wednesday, when Mika Kulmala, representing the City of Tampere — a metaCCAZE Trailblazer City— took the stage in the session “Overcoming Barriers to CCAM Deployment in Cities: Understanding Expectations from Local Authorities.” The session offered a look at how local governments are navigating the technical, social, and regulatory challenges in rolling out automated mobility solutions.
Additionally, our partners ERTICO, Tampere University and MaaSLab were present at EUCAD 2025.
