Miskolc is enhancing its urban transport system with digital and physical innovations to reduce private car use and boost multimodal travel.
The planned pilot activity for digital innovation aims to enhance the journey planning system by incorporating a multimodal route planner that integrates various transport modes into the current local journey planner.
By allowing users to customise their travel parameters, such as the relevance of travel time, cost, CO2 emissions, and even health effects, the system empowers individuals to make data-driven decisions aligned with their personal preferences.
A key innovation of this pilot is the use of artificial intelligence (AI). These methods will optimise activity chains, enabling the system to analyse different travel combinations and deliver personalised journey recommendations based on user preferences and real-time data.
By prioritising sustainability in travel planning, the pilot aligns with broader environmental goals and encourages a shift towards greener transport modes.
